Secrets and Clues
The avatar of Blibdoolploop cares nothing at all for the Kuo Toa and their twisted machinations.
The Avatar of Blibdoolploop wants to open the doors of the Black Cathedral to the Elemental Plane of Water and her sire – Olhydra.
With each crumbling of the monoliths, the doors of the Black Cathedral become more unstable. Time is running short for any of the cults to use the door to open to their realm.
Each religion sees the Black Cathedral as something different. The cult of the Black Harbinger sees it as a doorway of bone and skulls. The cults of the Eater of Worlds sees it as twisted tentacles. The cult of the Dead Night sees it as spires of black obsidian. The drow of Lolth see it as a spider doorway of webs.
The Drowning Goddess resides in the Fated Depths inside the Elemental Plane of Water.
She wears a string of pearls with various powers. Va-Guulgh hopes to give her the Heartstone of the Serfneblin to add to her necklace.
A cold war exists in Erelhei-Cinlu. House Eilservs rules the others, but is constantly threatened by the other houses. Matron mother Eclavdra dEilservs is the matron mother of Erelhei-Cinlu.
Three passages lead from the Shrine of the Kuo Toa to the Erelhei-Cinlu – The Deep Wormway, the Mines of the Forgotten, and the Dreadnarrows. The Wormway is the most commonly used passage but prone to ambush. The Mines of the Forgotten have great physical dangers from the abandoned duergar mines. The Dreadnarrows are natural tunnels with natural predators used less often by sentient folk.
Asmodeus-worshipping duergar built fantastic mines down in the deepest depths but their own greed led to hellfire bursting forth. It opened a rift to the nine hells devouring even the devout.
